The role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic claimant Medical Negligence Solicitor or FILEx with 10+ yrs pqe, to take responsibility for and to develop a case load of high value, multitrack, medical negligence cases involving life changing injuries.
Successful candidates will be committed to excellent client care, case management and be actively engaged in marketing and business development, ideally with a background of building relationships with charities.
Law Society Medical Negligence Panel and/or AvMA membership is essential.
Your duties will involve:
Compiling evidence in support of a claim
Evaluating the merits of a claim
Identifying the legal and medical issues
Calculating appropriate damages
Drafting a schedule of loss
Drafting statements
Instructing and liaising with medical experts
Instructing and liaising with Counsel
Communicating and negotiating with Defendant Solicitors
Communicating with clients
Complying with Civil Procedure Rules and Court directions
Providing guidance and support to junior fee earners
Identifying, building, and nurturing contacts to promote development of the work type
Leading structured BD initiatives to generate referrals and build connections

Responsibilities & Requirements
